365 Days 1-7

I'm trying the 365 Project this year. Hopefully I can stick with it.

1-1st snow of the year and the winter. We have had a few flurries before this, but this is the 1st snow that's amounted to anything.

2-Lentil soup for dinner.

3-Blueberry and banana smoothie for a snack.

4-Laundry to be washed.

5-Gavin's dinner. Chicken slovakia, rice, olives and caesar dressing on the side.

6-Play-doh burger and chips and a pickle. I think it fell off the plate shortly after this picture.

7-Gavin playing soccer outside with Clint.

Winter Wonderland

It's a winter wonderland here. Been snowing since last night and is suppose to continue until late afternoon tomorrow. I will be posting quite a few posts in the next day or so, they are ones I started and was waiting to put photoshop on my pc so I could edit the photos. Well I haven't loaded photoshop, so the pictures are not edited at all.

Gavin painting...it's finger paint, but he doesn't like getting his hands dirty

And then he passed out

Making butternut squash bread(it's just like pumpkin bread)

Russian tea mix I also made tonight. It's so yummy!

March Blizzard

It went from 80° on Sunday to this today...

We stayed in most of the day, other than me dropping Gavin off at Sherry's(or Izze as Gavin calls her) so I could go clean 2 Verizon stores this afternoon. They closed at 2, so i got to go clean them early. Which was nice since the roads got worse as the day went on.

Snow Day!

So Clint woke up at 6am today and came in the bedroom a little before 7 to let me know there was 3-4" of snow outside to our surprise and everyone else's. He asked if it was alright if he took the Subaru since the roads were probably bad. I said sure, since I wouldn't be leaving the house today because of the snow. I guess no one was expecting the snow, it took him 2.5 hours to get to downtown Denver, which normally takes 20-45 min depending on traffic. I think only flurries were in the forecast, so none of the roads had been plowed.

I would really liked to have taken Gavin outside to play in the snow and build a snowman. We haven't had a chance to play in the snow yet this year, the last time it snowed it was -15 during the day, so we stayed in. But we didn't venture out today either because Gavin has a cold. He's been coughing all day and his nose is running. Some of the snow melted, but there is still quite a bit out there, so we will see how long it last and maybe we can play later this week. Knowing the weather here though it will probably be 60° tomorrow.

So instead of playing in the snow, we stayed inside, played, read stories, watched movies and drank hot tea. What do you do when it snows?
