Day In The Mountains

We had a great time in the mountains hanging out with our friends. We got up there about 10 and went on a hike. We played in the water(which was much higher than normal and running super fast because of all the snow melting) and the dirt. We relaxed and had salmon for dinner and then s'mores. Gavin road on the ATV for the 1st time and loved it! Gavin and Ezra happened to be wearing the same shirt. Gavin wanted to stay and camp, but we couldn't this time. Stayed tuned thought I think we may go up again before our friends leave.

Zoo Trip & 33 weeks

Berry Patch Farms

Last month Gavin and I made to trips to Berry Patch Farms in one week. Took some photos while we were there. We picked zinnias and bought some pumpkins and green chilies, 1/2 bushel hot and 1/2 bushel mild. Wow was it a lot more than I expected. Filled up the rest of the freezer. We would have picked some raspberries and strawberries, but it was way too muddy.

We ended up with almost 100 mild chilies and 130 hot. I put 6-8 in a bag.

Wildlife Animal Sanctuary

Saturday we visited the Wild Animal Sanctuary. This 320-acre refuge is about half and hour from our house. They specialize in rescuing Large Carnivores and have more than 200.

We also saw Eddy the black Leopard and other leopards, wolves, black and grizzly bears, camels and emu.

Build-A-Bear & New Bed

Today we took Gavin to Build-A-Bear for the 1st time. He picked out a brown dog.

He got to choose a sound for it, he chose the barking dog and then got to put a heart in him. He thought it need a few hearts.
Then we stuffed him.

After stuffing Gavin washed and brushed him.

Then he picked out an outfit and dressed him. His two favorites were an Avalanche Hockey Jersey and Darth Vader.

Next he picked a name and made a birth certificate for his new friend Joey!

Today Gavin also got a 'Big Boy Bed'. We found the sleigh bed at Costco. He loves it and went right to sleep and slept all night :)
