We've been working on some art for the Intro To Art Class over at Pineapple Paintbrush.
We read Mouse Paint and Gavin learned the primary colors and all about mixing colors.

3 Days

Our midwife came today and we ventured out for the 1st time for a visit with Liam's doctor. Since we had him at home we had to go in for his PKU test. Liam is already gaining his weight back, he was up to 7lbs 13oz. As soon as Dr. Black spoke to him he responded and looked right toward her(she seemed surprised). He slept a couple 4 hour stretches last night also. He's been cluster feeding during the day to try to get my milk to come in. He loves laying in the boppy, it keeps him tight and cuddled. He turns to Gavin whenever he hears him talking, he must recognize his voice from when he talked to him while he was in the womb.



Gavin is slowly warming up to him, this is as close as he will get.

1 Day Old

Today my midwife came by for our 1 day checkup. We are both doing great. Liam has lost 5 ounces and looks great, no jaundice. Nursing isn't going as easy as it started out yesterday. It is pretty painful no matter how many times I re-latch him, but the midwife said his latch looks great. So I'll just keep trying. I am aloud to go downstairs now, but have to sit with my feet up and take it easy.

Born at home at 2:15pm on March 19. He weighed 8lbs and was 20-1/2" long. Everyone is great.

Had a wonderful baby shower on Saturday. It was beautiful and lots of fun with friends.
