Sugar Biscuits

I saw this recipe recently for Orange Poppyseed Sugar Biscuits and thought I'd give it a try. They turned out great, just a little small(I'm not to good at guessing what 2 inches is), so a little hard for dipping in sorbet. But still tasted delicious. I made a double batch and had the dough to make cookies each day over the weekend.

Play-Doh

One of Gavin's favorite things to do right now is make things out of Play-Doh. It will keep him busy for hours. I had thought about making my own. But he doesn't try to eat it and it's so cheap to just buy.

I am obsessed with tumblr

i love it. how could i not love a cool/pretty/awesome/archived/shareable way to organize all the fun stuff that i either just like/inspires me/is cool photography/etc?

It's so simple, much less work than a blog. If I come across something I like or want to file away for later I just click on my little "share on tumblr" icon and it's on the site and I can tag it for easy searching. Scooter

Gavin asks to ride his scooter many evening once Clint gets home from work. He's getting really good at it. He rides back and forth along the sidewalk for almost an hour some nights. He's pretty fast too, one time he flew right by me so fast I didn't get a single picture.



Here he ran into me/the camera right as I snapped the picture. It didn't look like he was that close or maybe he is just faster than i thought.

Mounts

Almost on a daily basis when Gavin sees the mountains he asks to go to the mounst. He enjoys going because he can run and play and get as dirty as he wants. We usually go with friends and play some frisbee golf, throw around the football, grill out, roast marshmallows, and sit by the fire. This is only the second time we've been up this year, unlike last summer when we were going every other weekend. We hope to go up a few more times before it gets too cold.

It felt like fall...back to the heat again

A few weeks ago I took this picture of our neighbors tree. It's the only tree that I've seen change colors so soon. We have a few days of 60-70°, but I guess summer isn't over with yet. It's back up in the high 80s and we've even had the hottest day(97°) of the year since then. I'm ready for the cool crisp air of fall.
